Global aviation services company gives back to local community with
December 2017 - Gama Aviation is one of the world's leading aviation services companies and the largest aircraft management company in the United States. Headquartered in Shelton, Connecticut, the group adopted classrooms from a local elementary school to deliver gifts to students in need this holiday season.
The employees of Gama Aviation typically arrange an annual toy drive within the offices. This year, the group instead decided to help make local students’ holiday extra special by adopting two classrooms of children in need from a nearby elementary school located in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
A list was created of suggested clothes, shoes, toys and books, and over 100 gifts were purchased, wrapped, and delivered to the students thanks to the Gama Aviation employees based at the U.S. headquarters.
Stacey Richter, Senior Human Resources Coordinator, said:
All had smiles from ear to ear as we gave them their gifts. The students, teachers and the principal couldn’t have been more appreciative of our team here in Shelton. I personally wanted to say ‘Thank you’ as well. We are absolutely amazed at the generosity of our employees.
